I feel in love with the idea of Paris.
The smell of croissants flooding the air, the warm breeze, the sleek yet classic looks that fill the streets and the closets. I wanted to be a part of it and Audrey Hepburn portrayed the essence of Paris so well. Throughout Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Audrey was portrayed as a silly girl pretending to be chic whilst trying to obtain the life style she had always wanted. She was a wild child, a bit confusing at times, yet oh so captivating. The first time I saw Audrey Hepburn strum her way through Moon River in the classic film, I fell in love with her. Audrey Hepburn was in classics a long side actors such as Gregory Peck, yet for a flashy light in the public there were sides of her that not many people have seen. She was a dancer, activist, and not just a pretty face. She stood up for what she believed in, even if it was dancing her way to raise money against the Nazis. Audrey Hepburn was such a wonderful lady, and today I dedicate this post to all of my favourite of her looks. I have decided to re-create some of Audrey’s most famous looks that you too can re-create!
#1: Tiffany’s Anyone?
To this day, Holly Golightly is the most well-known role of Audrey. Her chic yet hip look not only captivates men in the film yet covers her dark and confusing past. This look is simple to re-create with a black dress, some jewels, a bun (and tiara) and a neutral eye.
#2: I Want To Ride My Bicycle
The cutest photo shoot to date is the bicycle shoot of Audrey. The candid photos inspire you to get out and ride a little retro ‘cycle yourself. If you have not seen the amazing photos… you are living a sad life (yet here is one to EDUCATE yourself)
This look is easily achieved with black pants, a black turtle neck, and flats. Don’t forget the high pony!
#3: Gregory Peck and the Princess
Oh what a perfect film! Thank you Netflix for adding it to your site recently, because I have been watching it non stop! From the cute story line to the ever so handsome Gregory Peck, it is an over all 10/10 from me. Re-create this epic look with a circle skirt, blouse, and some black flats (which she seems to have as a staple).
#4: Classic Audrey
Audrey Hepburn was not known as a style icon for nothing! She had impeccable taste that still has not gone out of style. She loved the natural makeup look, which is my favourite, and ate dark chocolate for dinner every night. What a classic gal! You too can be this cool with some stripes, pants and a chic hat.
